David Lama developed a passion for climbing and mountaineering from early childhood. After the end of his career as a competition climber, he became focused on alpinism. After his spectacular ascent and film from Cerro Torre the young Tyrolean has become widely known within the climbing and outdoor community.
What drives an athlete like him? Lama says, “It’s about when an idea comes into my head and won´t go away, I constantly develop and adapt a plan around the idea and eventually execute” says the young Tyrolean. "There are many ordinary skis. And then there is KÄSTLE,” states Lama regarding his decision for the new partnership.
David must be able to completely rely and trust his equipment allowing focus on the project itself. This fall David begins the expedition season with the support of KÄSTLE. For his new projects Lama will use skis from wide KÄSTLE range. From the light and high performing touring skis from the TX line, to versatile big mountain skis such as the BMX105 HP built for steep, technical first descents.
"We are very pleased that David Lama, one of the foremost mountaineers, decided to choose our skis," explains KÄSTLE CEO Bernd Knünz.
