The final stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour in Verbier was March 29th. The comp had been delayed for a week, when finally snow conditions and the weather outlook cooperated. All eyes were on the 3,222-meter-high Bec des Rosses to decide who would take on the title of the Ladies WT overall winner.
KÄSTLE athlete Lorraine Huber, Nadine Wallner and Matilda Rapaport were all in the running for the top step on the podium. Nadine Wallner ended up in second place just behind the Norwegian Pia Nic Gunderson (NOR ) in third place Jaclyn Passo (USA). Lorraine Huber finished in sixth place after an unfortunate crash.
But for the Arlberg native there was still reason to celebrate - thanks to her outstanding results throughout the season , Lorraine ‘s points placed her in second place, just behind the previous year's World Cup defending champion Nadine Wallner (AUT) in the overall ranking .
