August 29, 2013 (Salzburg, Austria) – Kästle, storied Austrian ski manufacturer, renews its partnership with the Lyngen Lodge, located high above the Arctic Circle of Northern Norway. The lodge has distinguished itself as an important on-snow product development and testing locale over the past six years. Particularly in the expansion of the TX (Tour Cross) skis, Kästle’s touring line. The guides ski on the TX97 and is offered to the guests for rental as well.
The lodge offers weeklong ski touring holidays February to May from sea to summit for experienced off piste skiers. The trips consist of six days skiing on the Lyngen Peninsula and surrounding islands led by qualified UIAGM guides. Accessing the mountains either directly from the lodge or via boat across the fjord, landing on beaches, climbing to summits and skiing untracked snow high above the fjords.
“The partnership with Lyngen Lodge provides the perfect testing ground for Kästle’s TX touring equipment. The harsh conditions in Northern Norway and the intense use of the equipment are ideal for long-term durability testing of our products. Having a mix of UIAGM pro guides and consumers on our product before going to the market is the best on-snow test setup imaginable. All of that delivers valuable insight for our product development processes,” says Kästle President, Siegfried Rumpfhuber.
