Hollowtech

With the help of the HOLLOWTECH technology the ski‘s running characteristics is improved. The cutout section in the shovel leads to a reduced weight of the freely vibrating zone by almost 15 %. The resulting lower inertia moments optimize the retraction behavior of the ski. This means that after an impact the shovel returns much faster to the stable condition, enabling the ski to keep its track much more precisely. Hollowtech creates even greater weight savings on the TX touring skis. And the Dual Hollowtech on the XX Twintip skis, allows for the fastest rotation and most controllable spin.

WAIST 98 MM:

Exceptional handling in powder, combined with impressive frontside performance. The running surface gains about 48 % in comparison with a classic frontside ski.

SKI GEOMETRY:

The wider radius in the shovel of the DUAL RADIUS BIG MOUNTAIN delivers exceptional stability and easy adjustment of running mistakes. The front radius exits the running track in front of the contact point, joining the shovel geometry in a straight line. The LOW CAMBER concept minimizes deep powder aggressiveness and provides a harmonious flex line in combination with EARLY RISE ROCKER. The ski has been reduced to a minimum of 5 mm, enabling a greater maneuverability. The EARLY RISE ROCKER technology improves maneuverability and enables a smoother handling under diverse snow conditions. The slight rise of the shovel in front of the traditional contact point enables better floating. For the BMX98 the EARLY RISE ROCKER starts at 360 mm, measured from the tip in the direction of the waist.

WOOD CORE:

The core is constructed from a mix of ash wood and silver fir.

FEATURES:

Due to the fact that torsional rigidity may be reduced in deep powder snow, both sheets are made of fiberglass plastic (GRP). Additionally this ski is equipped with extremely resistant ABS sidewalls.

DUAL HOLLOWTECH:

A further reduction in weight has been achieved with the HOLLOWTECH technology that is not only applied in the shovel zone but also in the tail zone of the BMX98.
