KÄSTLE TOTAL INTEGRATION (KTI)

Goal:
Optimized power transmission from skier to skis delivering even pressure distribution along the ski’s edge.  An integrated binding channel allowing simple toe and heel adjustments with a screwdriver. Fits boot sole lengths from 260 to 360 mm.

Development:
A fixed mechanical interface uses complex bearing systems, which allow the skis to bend naturally underneath the boot. The main bearing works on two axes to compensate for the horizontal and vertical bending of the ski. It contains a lower piece assembled on the ski and an upper piece with sliding bushings to facilitate the horizontal movement of the entire structure. A central ancillary bearing works on a single vertical axis determining a constant central position of the boot and the interface. Thus there is a constant, independent balance point.

Result:
The central application of force from the skier is distributed evenly down the edge.
As a result the ski system is more efficient, as well as adaptable to skier and conditions. Additionally KTI has a quick and continuous adjustment to accommodate various booth lengths making the system perfect for retail, rental or demo fleets. The KTI system provides easy adjustability without performance limitations experienced in many demo or rental systems.
